Author Fees

Magistra Andalusia: Jurnal Ilmu Sastra is published in full open-access format, ensuring that the global academic community and the general public have free, unlimited, and immediate access to all articles upon publication. As an open-access journal, we do not generate income from subscription fees or "pay-per-view" charges. Instead, we rely on Article Publication Charges (APC) to cover the costs associated with the publication process, including editorial work, peer review, website maintenance, and digital preservation.

Article Publication Charges (APC)

There are no submission fees for Magistra Andalusia. Authors are only required to pay an APC if their manuscript is accepted for publication. The APC varies based on the author's funding status and geographic location.

APC for Non-Sponsored Researchers:
  • Foreign authors: $100 USD per accepted article.
  • Domestic authors (Indonesia): 1,000,000 IDR per accepted article.
APC for Sponsored/Funded Researchers:
  • Foreign authors: $125 USD per accepted article.
  • Domestic authors (Indonesia): 1,250,000 IDR per accepted article.

These charges cover the costs of publishing and allow the journal to remain open-access, ensuring that all content is freely accessible to the public.

Payment Process

The APC is only due once the manuscript has successfully passed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication. Authors will receive an invoice with detailed payment instructions upon acceptance of their article. Payment can be made through bank transfer or other available methods as specified in the invoice.

Waivers and Discounts

Magistra Andalusia is committed to supporting authors from low- and middle-income countries, and we may consider APC waivers or discounts for authors who face financial constraints. Waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis, and authors can apply for a waiver during the submission process by providing justification for their request.

What the APC Covers

The APC helps cover the following costs:

  • Editorial processing and peer review management.
  • Copyediting and formatting of manuscripts.
  • Digital archiving and long-term preservation.
  • Maintaining and developing the journal’s online platform.
  • Ensuring all articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide immediately upon publication.
